Sales Engineering

You are the engineer a customer talks to before there is a purchase order. You take a megawatt figure and a site and turn them into a configured system, with the sizing and the drawings that prove it works. You own the technical content of every RFP, you defend the design in customer review, and you stay with the project through factory acceptance and handover.
Design and sizing
- +Size the system from the customer’s load: rack density, cooling method, power chain and heat rejection.
- +Produce the sizing calculations, single-line diagrams and rack elevations with engineering.
- +Choose between direct liquid cooling, immersion and air on the site’s constraints rather than on preference.
From bid to handover
- +Own the technical content of RFPs, site evaluations and customer design reviews.
- +Work the design against what the site actually has, from utility capacity and water to climate and the permitting path.
- +Stay with the project through factory acceptance, commissioning and handover.
Requirements
- +Data center or power systems engineering, and a project you carried from load sheet to energization.
- +Direct liquid cooling and immersion, and a clear view of what each costs and what each demands of a site.
- +Read and produce single-lines, P&IDs and rack elevations, and answer a customer’s engineers in their own units.
Useful to have
- +UL and CSA work, AHJ permitting, or an interconnection study you have been through.
- +NVIDIA reference architectures for GB200 and GB300 class racks.
- +A Bitcoin mining or HPC background. Most of this company came from one.
