Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from fogcomputing.ai, foghashing.io and shop.foghashing.io, including any subdomain of those. We refer to them together as the “Sites”.

Fog Computing builds power, liquid cooling and prefabricated data halls. Fog Hashing is our Bitcoin mining sub-brand, and the online store at shop.foghashing.io sells its hardware. One company runs both brands, so this policy covers all of the Sites. Where a practice applies to only part of the business, the section below says which.

Personal information we collect

Device Information

When you visit the Sites, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. As you browse, we also collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you, and how you interact with the Sites. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

• “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org
• “Log files” track actions occurring on the Sites, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
• “Web beacons”, “tags”, and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Sites.

Inquiry Information

When you send us a message through a form on the Sites, or download a brochure or specification sheet, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form that is your name, work email address, company, country, the topic or project size you select, your message, how you heard about us, and any Telegram or WhatsApp handle you give us. We also record which page the form was sent from, the date and time, and the IP address, country and browser user agent of the submission. We refer to this as “Inquiry Information”.

Order Information

When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the store at shop.foghashing.io, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, paypal addresses, wallets, etc.), email address, and phone number. An order placed with our sales team by bank transfer or cryptocurrency produces the same information, given to us by email rather than through the store. We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about Device Information, Inquiry Information and Order Information together.

How do we use your personal information?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed with us, including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and order confirmations. Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

• Communicate with you;
• Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
• When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Inquiry Information that we collect to reply to you, to send you the document you asked for, and to work on the quote, system design or project you contacted us about, including staying in touch about it afterwards.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Sites (for example, by generating analytics about how visitors browse and interact with them, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

Sharing your personal information

We share your Personal Information with service providers who help us run the Sites and our business, as described below. We do not sell your personal information.

Inquiry Information is also recorded in the internal business tools our sales and engineering teams use to answer you, and access to it is limited to the people working on your inquiry.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

International transfers

Our registered address is in Singapore, and our teams, warehouses and service providers operate across Asia, Europe and North America. Your personal information will therefore be transferred outside your own country and stored and processed elsewhere, including in Singapore, Canada and the United States.

Do not track

Please note that we do not alter the data collection and use practices of our Sites when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

Your rights

If you are a European or United Kingdom resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European or United Kingdom resident, we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you place an order through the store, or ask us to design a system), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Please also note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, as described under International transfers.

If you live elsewhere, including in California, you can make the same requests and we will handle them the same way.

Data retention

When you place an order with us, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. We keep Inquiry Information while we are working on or following up your inquiry, and afterwards as a record of the conversation, again until you ask us to delete it.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The date under the title of this page is when it last changed.
